Tom Smith is a partner with Shevlin Smith who specalizes in medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases.

Since 1979, Tom has focused his trial practice on medical malpractice cases. For seventeen years, he defended doctors and hospitals for insurance carriers, but since 1996 his practice has been dedicated to representing patients and their families who have been injured or killed due to doctor or hospital errors.

Tom is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and its School of Law (J.D. 1979; B.A. 1976)
