- Do not text and drive, or even talk on the phone, while driving. Be a good example for your children.
- Ask your child’s teachers or school staff to discuss the dangers of texting and driving with the students.
- Do not call or text your teen at a time you know he or she will be driving.
- While texting and driving is illegal, establish additional rules and penalties within the family if the teenager is caught texting and driving.
- Review the cell phone bill to determine if your child is texting and driving.
