Lives Saved in 2007 by Restraint Use and Minimum Drinking Age Laws

This month, the National Highway Traffic Safety Adminsitration (NHTSA) reported its statistics on the number of lives saved in 2007 by seat belt use and by minimum drinking age laws.  Nationally, over 15,000 lives were saved by seat belt use in 2007, and over 800 lives were saved by minimum drinking age laws.  In Virginia, over 300 lives were saved by seat belt use alone.  To see all of the statisitical data concerning seat belt use and minimum drinking age laws, click here.
