This year’s award marks the third year that Michael Shevlin has been elected by his peers as the Lawyer of the Year in the Washington, D.C. region. He was also selected in 2025 for his work representing injured clients in the area of Personal Injury Litigation, and in 2023 in the area of Medical Malpractice Law. The recognition speaks to the consistency of his work and the positive reputation he has built with his peers over the course of his career.
Attorney Michael Shevlin has more than two decades of experience handling personal injury cases, serving clients throughout Washington, D.C. and Virginia. He is active in several respected associations, including the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Trial Lawyer Association of the District of Columbia, and the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, Inc. He also previously served on the Board of Directors of the Fairfax County Bar Association.
